Snowboard Technology & Personality
Each FIREFLY snowboard’s very own personality is determined by the selection of technical and performance-specific materials. The geometric profiling, core design and laminate structure with stringer technology guarantee that you’ll have real fun riding our boards. Of course there are different ways to approach the mountain. Either you like a fast and powerful ride, or you prefer cruising, or maybe you are more of a jibber... Some get up super early for those first tracks in virgin pow, others stay up late for a rail session... Whatever your playground and preference – we help you pick the right board for your very own style!
Camber
Positive Camber
Traditional camber construction. Delivers dynamic energy release from edge to edge and plenty of pop in nose and tail.
80% camber – 20% rocker
Reverse Bow Camber
Full reverse camber construction combined with lifted toe and heel edge delivers the ideal blend of playfulness and edge control.
0% camber – 100% rocker
Reverse Flat Camber
A flat profile between the feet and reverse camber from the binding inserts to the edge contact points. For total control on the rail and a buttery feel for jibs and tricks.
60% camber – 40% rocker
Hybrid 2S Camber
The reverse camber sections both between the feet and from the inserts to tip and tail create a very relaxed and forgiving freestyle feel and incredible float through pow. Underneath the feet, the traditional camber adds control and edge grip for a crisp snap, responsive pop and power through turns.
50% camber – 50% rocker
Core
Lightweight Poplar Wood Core
Quality Poplar lightweight wood in segments that are optimized for length creates a smooth, consistent, responsive flex profile
Wood Core
Full tip to tail wood gives that responsive feel that only the organic fibres of trees can deliver.
Lightweight Aircell Core
Lightweight Aircell technology creates a flex profile that is dynamically smooth throughout.
Width
Regular Waist
A regular waist width promotes smooth turns, stability and quickness from edge to edge and enough float and stability up to a size Mondo 27.0 boot.
Mid Waist
A wider waist makes all the difference when stomping landings and getting tech on rails. That’s why we build mid wide boards around a size Mondo 28.0 boot for adult and selected youth boards.
Snowboard Wide Waist
We have widened the waist width on select sizes of some boards to eliminate toe and heel drag. This means also increased float and more landed tricks.
Laminate
Triaxial Laminate
The triaxial fiber layer of 0°, 90° and 45° deliver unmatched levels of responsive pop, lightness and torsional strength.
Biaxial Laminate
The biaxial fibre layer of 0° and 90° tune in a balanced feeling, quickness and power from one edge to the other.
Fibre Glass Laminate
A multilayer fibre glass creates a buttery laminate tuned for jumping, jibbing or just cruising mellow turns.
Shape
Twin Tip Freestyle Shape
Characteristic is a small radius and shorter effective edge, the symmetrical sidecut with identic nose and tail flex provides stability and balance also switch. Backcountry, Park & Pipe or Backyard - just unlimited Freestyle Feeling.
Directional Freestyle Shape
This shape takes the playfulness of a Twin Tip shape and combines it with directional all mountain performance. A universal shape locked-on to any terrain.
Directional Freeride Shape
Asymmetrical sidecut and setback, different flex in nose and tail for edge to edge control also with higher speed. Tons of float on pow and quickness on groomers.
Stringer
Carbon V Stringer
The super light and strong carbon V sends stringers from the inserts to the edges at each of the contact points for longitudinal response and moderate torsional response when popping off the edge.
Carbon X Stringer
The high torque carbon X stringers from the edges at each of the contact points crank up the torsional pop while also adding longitudinal response.
Carbon C Stringer
Two carbon stringers laid on the center from nose to tail add ollie and nollie pop without any unwanted torsional stiffness.
